Color in Design Awards 2011

by Print staff
Share/Save/Bookmark
Last year, Print and our sister publication, HOW, teamed up with Pantone to cohost the first ever Color in Design Awards. A team of color experts from Pantone and the design industry (Pantone’s marketing director, Giovanni Marra; Print’s former art director, Tonya Douraghy; and the Imprint color columnist and Imprint contributing editor, Jude Stewart) evaluated nearly 775 entries based on color-focused criteria, including how the palette (whether one or multiple colors) enhanced the design, and how colors added to the design’s impact and effectiveness. They also looked for bold uses of color and innovative combinations. The panel selected 40 winners, which the Print staff narrowed to these 15 projects.
