THIS TWO-YEAR MASTER'S program seeks to “create design for humanitarian needs,” says department head Satyendra Pakhalé. The curriculum looks at design from anthropological and philosophical perspectives, an attitude reflected in student Jose Subero Diaz’s project, “Natureza urbana: São Paulo,” a study and exploration of the São Paulo landscape after its ban on outdoor billboards in 2006.
