Hard to believe that William Burroughs' Beat-defining Naked Lunch is 50 years old. The departments of Humanities and Sciences and Visual & Critical Studies at The School of Visual Arts will celebrate (sans brunch) with a program of films, readings, and performances as part of a three-day tribute in collaboration with Columbia University and NYU.
directed by Lars Movin and Steen Rasmussseun. The event will be free to the public at the SVA Theater, 333 West 23rd Street, on Saturday, October 10 from 3:30 to 8:30. Burroughs won't be there, but his spirit will.
