Steven Heller is the cofounder and the co-chair of the MFA Designer as Author program at the School of Visual Arts. He writes the Visuals column for the New York Times Book Review and the Graphic Content blog for T-Style.  He is the author, coauthor, and/or editor of more than 120 books on design and popular culture, including the forthcoming New Ornamental Type (Thames and Hudson).

Thanks to the the internet, site-specific street art is no longer just site specific. Brooklyn artist Gaia's graphic wheat paste postings are available for all. Gaia: Taming Nature by Nicolas Heller, is an instructional video of sorts. It follows Gaia as he goes through the process of a wheatpaste. If the filmmaker's name has a familiar ring, it may be that he is related to me through the miracle of birth (yes, my son). This is the first in a series of impressionistic short films on the work of today's street artists. See his website and blog here.
