Carry Hope: Laurent Fetis for World Wildlife Fund

by Print staff
Share/Save/Bookmark

Laurent Fetis studied at the College of Architecture in Versailles and at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. He has collaborated with people like M83, Beck, Tahiti 80, DJ Hell, and Lucian Freud, co-directed videos and films with Elisabeth Arkhipoff, and supervised the graphics and title design for Roman Coppola’s film, CQ. His work has been shown in exhibitions and lectures at the Centre Pompidou, Royal Society of Arts, Fabrica, Galerie Kreo, and Galerie du Jour/Agnès B.

HIS CAUSE
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) works to protect nature in 100 countries. It is supported by nearly five million members worldwide.  http://worldwildlife.org

HIS CONCEPT
“I grew up in the ’70s, and at that time consciousness of endangered species was spreading. As a child, I was always interested in nature. The WWF symbol has always acted on me as an alarming (and yet friendly) call for help. Nowadays, species are disappearing at a more alarming rate than ever. I hope that this homage to one of the most friendly of logos could help to save some animals.”

See the complete set at My Design Shop. There are only 25 of each design, and they all come with a handmade hang tag and are individually numbered. All proceeds will go to the charity that the designer has chosen.
