Carry Hope: Si Scott for World Wildlife Fund

by Print staff
Share/Save/Bookmark

Si Scott Studio was established in early 2006. The studio specializes in a unique blend of hand-inked and penned design with a mix of modern and traditional typography for clients such as Hugo Boss, Audi, Pentagram, Nike, MTV, BBC, Non-Format, Adidas, and Paul Smith.

THE CAUSE
The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) works to protect nature in 100 countries. It is supported by nearly five million members worldwide.

THE CONCEPT
“I chose the WWF because it means a lot to me to try and help the plight of animals across the world as man’s ever-growing greed continues to devour and destroy the planet at an alarming rate. My graphic doesn’t relate directly to the WWF but I wanted to create a graphic that would help make money for such a worthy cause rather than one that related directly to it [visually]. I think a lot of design intended to raise money for charities makes the mistake of forgetting that the main aim of the design is to help raise money, not to directly [represent it in a visual way].”

See the complete set at My Design Shop. There are only 25 of each design, and they all come with a handmade hang tag and are individually numbered. All proceeds will go to the charity that the designer has chosen.
