Welcome to the new printmag.com. Here are a few of the new features you'll find:

We’ve got a blog now! Read more from your favorite contributors, including Steven Heller, Ellen Lupton, Andrea Dezso, and Jude Stewart; we’ll be adding new faces to the roster every so often. Plus, the Obsessions column, written by House of Pretty web gurus Patric King and Su, will be updated every week. It’s still a little bit under construction but will be filling out as we go forward.

On the home page, you’ll notice a few new items:-Every morning, we’ll pick an Image of the Day and put it on the home page. Send us your own nominations at info [at] printmag [dot] com with the subject line “Image of the Day.”-We’re also going to be updating the home page every day with fresh design-related videos and animation, jobs, news, and events. A Daily Heller teaser is now on our home page as well, or you can visit it directly.-Our Design Feeds section is a real-time update of our Twitter posts. You can follow us at twitter.com/printmag.

The site is divided into 11 basic sections, each with its own RSS feed:

In Print: Articles from the magazine, as they relate to printed matter Interactive: Issues in design and technologySustainability: Best practices and the environment Book reviews: Critics on recent publications Hot Type: Critics on type designImage Galleries: Slideshows of images grouped by themesProfiles: In-depth portraits of designers working todayInterviews: Designers in conversationBehind the Scenes: How it’s madeEducation: Topics and discussion on schools and design trainingThe Blog: Daily updates from Print contributors

Also, every article now has commenting functionality. You’ll need to log in and create a username and password, which takes all of 3 seconds. Tell us what you think and we’ll feature some of our favorite comments in the magazine and on the home page.

Our design directory is a highly-selective guide to the best in design education, as well as detailed paper, type, printing, and stock photo resources. You can add your own contact information and be available to anyone who’s looking to hire.

For now, the Shop section will take you to the bookstore of our sister magazine, How, until we get a store of our own. (It’s in the works.) You can order our back issues in both paper and digital versions there now.

And every issue, we’ll choose selected articles from the magazine. Right now, you can check out a couple of articles from our August issue, devoted to food: Designers dish on their favorite recipes, and four studios imagine what a legal pack of marijuana cigarettes would look like.

Last, we’d like to thank everyone who has worked overtime to get the site overhauled, especially the programmers and developers at our parent company F+W Media, our publisher Gary Lynch, editor-in-chief Emily Gordon, and our design staff of Jessica Walsh, David Frankel, and art director Alice Cho. You can find out more about us and the history of the magazine on our About Us page.
