AMS Amsterdam

Copenhagen-based Biomega’s AMS Amsterdam is its first chainless bicycle developed specifically for women. Designer Jens Martin Skibsted said the bike design is “retro wave” and is an attempt to revive the ’30s-style Dutch bicycle. The bike’s silver mudguard is reminiscent of the Dutch bike’s white mudguards, which were used to reflect light during WWII. With Amsterdam, Biomega has introduced a new color, Florence Lilac (pictured), but it also comes in the conventional Dragon Black and Aspen Pearl. The bike retails for approximately $970.
