Does anyone reading this know how to say happy birthday in Dutch? If so, join me in wishing Anthon Beeke, one of The Netherlands’ leading theater poster makers, happy 70 jaar. Tonight at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam a gaggle of friends and colleagues will pay homage. Beeke established his own graphic designpractice in 1963, working mainly for literary publishers, museums, culturalmagazines and theatrer companies.
