HIS CAUSE

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Cook County helps abused and neglected children in foster care find new homes. The organization is a member of both the National CASA Association and the Illinois CASA Association.

THE CONCEPT

“In the fall of 2009, I had the pleasure of directing and collaborating on a new web design for CASA, whose mission is to serve as an advocate in a congested court system for more than 6,500 children in Chicago who are victims of broken homes. My tote design reminds me of the gift of life and the promise that each of us is entitled to all it has to offer. The plight of CASA’s children tugs at my heart, underscoring the stark contrast between a life of abundance and a life of abuse. As these graphic messages live on within the new context of this tote, they will speak with joy of gift-opening pleasures.”

See the complete set at My Design Shop. There are only 25 of each design, and they all come with a handmade hang tag and are individually numbered. All proceeds will go to the charity that the designer has chosen.
