Unleashed

Join the students and faculty of the School of Visual Arts MFA Designer as Author program for a live premiere of this year’s 2010 thesis projects on stage at the new SVA Theatre at 333 West 23rd Street, in Manhattan, on Tuesday, April 20, 11am to 7pm.

Open to the public, the MFA Design Thesis Forum, titled “Unleashed,” is an opportunity to see, hear, and experience 21 different social and commercial authorial and entrepreneurial products. Included are Two Wings, a campaign that draws attention to the plight of LGBT asylum seekers; Spoonful, which inspires New Yorkers to think locally about their food; Illuminated Atheist, which proposes a new way to approach atheism; ISM, a crash course in philosophy; Spaghetti With Milk, exploring how food memories shape personal identity; and Touching Yellow, an installation that allows sighted people to experience the world through the eyes of the visually impaired.

Also on hand are keynote speaker Paola Antonelli, endnote speaker John Carlin, and moderators Scott Stowell and Allan Chochinov.
