Observation for today: Tomorrow is Halloween. But today dozens of retail stores around New York City (like the Pier 1 above) have put up their Christmas decorations already. I’m always happiest during the holiday season, but even I can’t stomach too much jingle bells. It’s like sun worshipers who live in the land of the midnight sun. Enough is enough. Don’t let the spirit of Christmas future (below) get a stranglehold on us consumers. May this extended season of giving and good cheer not lose its specialness, if there is any left. So for now, Merry Hallowistmas and Happy Thanksgivinguka, and to all a good night (and tomorrow night, don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour).
