If only Edwin Schlossberg’s brain could talk. In a way it does, through the 22 paintings on view at the Ronald Feldman Fine Arts gallery in New York (April 25-May 30). Schlossberg, the founder of ESI Design and advocate of inter-social behavior, has long delved into the innermost psyche and brain tissue to answer questions about consciousness and sub-consciousness. The exhibition is titled At the Moment and the images (painted on Scotchlite reflective panels) are reflections of the moment thoughts are sparked in the mind.
these images, I wanted to explore how our thoughts relate to our
physical presence in the world,” Schlossberg says, “and I wanted to
express that in a way that would give the viewer an opportunity to
become an active participant in the journey.” Above is “You Being Alone”; below, top is “You Considering Stillness”; and below, bottom is “You Being Focused.” Do you recognize yourself? Share in the comments.
