The Object of My Affection

The objects of my affection as a designer are designed things. The objects of Gary Hustwit’s obsession are objects. They are also the theme of his latest film devoted to industrial design, Objectified, which will have its New York City premiere at the School of Visual Arts’ new Visual Arts Theater. Join Hustwit and co-sponsors SVA’s MFA Designer as Author, MFA D-Crit, and MFA in Interaction Design faculty and friends at the theater (designed by Milton Glaser) on April 9. For information and tickets look here. For a clip from Objectified look here.

If you were making a documentary on industrial design, what (OXO Peelers, Braun radios) or who (Rashid, Jongerius) would you include? Tell me in comments!
