Thanks to the the internet, site-specificstreet art is no longer just site specific. Brooklyn artist Gaia’s graphic wheat paste postings are available for all. Gaia: Taming Nature by Nicolas Heller, is an instructional video of sorts. It follows Gaia as he goes through the process of a wheatpaste. If the filmmaker’s name has a familiar ring, it may be that he is related to me through the miracle of birth (yes, my son). This is the first in a series of impressionistic short films on the work of today’s street artists. See his website and blog here.
