Wood Never Looked So Good

November may seem far away. But now’s the time for forward thinking.
What’s more it will be here sooner than you think. Sign up to attend
The Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum’s annual conference:
Wayzgoose 2010 (November 5 – 7) in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Representing the international printing community will be curators from the Gutenberg Museum and Tipoteca Italiana who’ll lead a roundtable discussion on the subject of preservation through education in letterpress.

Marking the end of summer, Wayzgoose traditionally
commemorates an annual gathering of printing staff as they used the
last of the season’s pulp to paper the windows in preparation for
winter. Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum is once again hosting a
modern revival in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. We are proud to welcome
printers, designers, historians and typographers from the U.S. and
Europe to this conference.

Learn more about The Hamilton here. Read an interview with director, Bill Moran here. See photos from last year’s Wayzgoose event here. And if that don’t hit you between the descender and ascender check out this excellent lineup of speakers and events here. It’s only $75. So, now that I’ve convinced you, register here.

I just wanted to point out that the Wayzgoose is 150$, not 75$. The educators workshop {which is the 3 days before the Wayzgoose} is 75$, but the Wayzgoose itself is 150$!
