Catalog Progress

In the late 1920s, the G.J. Peddemors Company in Almelo, Holland, produced this wonderful home furnishing and dry goods catalog. In addition to the goods here, the company was a coffee roaster and tea manufacturer, with a rich archive of historical materials.

    This is a premium catalog. Like Jewel Tea here in the US, many of the Dutch coffee and tea companies offered premiums to build loyalty. When I lived in the Netherlands in the mid-90s, Douwe Egberts still did, and there was a premium redemption shop not too far from my house.
