Ye shall post and be posted. No question! On May 5, The Art Directors Club, Mirko Ilic and your humble servant hath the pleasure of hosting Presenting Shakespeare: Much Ado About Posters, an exhibition featuring 130 original posters from around the globe inspired by English language’s most iconic poet and playwright William Shakespeare.
The exhibition, culled in part from the book Presenting Shakespeare (PAP) and supplemented with many not reproduced therein, commemorates the 400th anniversary of The Bard’s passing. It taketh place at the ADC Gallery, 106 West 29th St, New York, NY, from May 5–19. At the opening reception on Thursday, May 5, 6:00–8:00 pm, the poster (below) by Milton Glaser will be raffled off to some lucky attendee. Here’s a sneak peek. Please come.
