For more than seven decades, the National Magazine Award–winning Print has featured the best of the best in advertising and design. Now, to celebrate the fantastic creative work coming out of the advertising world in this new age, Print is launching the Legends in Advertising Awards. Categories will be open to both established firms and startup students, and will include print ads, but also everything beyond—campaigns across an array of mediums and digital spaces, including TV and radio. Top winners will be featured in a special issue of Print.

Deadline: October 15, 2014

All entries must be submitted online no later than October 15, 2014 (11:59 pm EST)

  • Single Entry: $75
  • Campaign (three or more pieces from a single campaign): $100
  • Student Single Entry: $40
  • Student Campaign (three or more pieces from a single campaign): $60


By submitting work and entry fees, entrants acknowledge Print’s right to showcase the winners in Print magazine and on its website and related digital products.

Winners will be notified on or before Oct. 31, 2014.



WHO: Anyone in the domestic American advertising field.

WHAT: Any printed communication, web advertising, TV work, radio ads, and other categories as specified below that appeared or were published between July 15, 2013, and the final competition deadline. For the Student Work category, the entrant must have been a student when the project was created. Projects will be judged based on the strength of the advertising alone, and will not be penalized because of factors such as the size of a given campaign.

The following are not permitted to enter the contest: employees of F+W Media, Inc., and their immediate family members and Print and HOW contributing editors and correspondents as listed on our masthead.



You must register your entry online. You may submit up to 10 files per entry (5 MB per file). Acceptable file types include .gif, .jpeg, .png., .mpg, .pdf, .mov, .avi, .mp4, or .wma formats. You may also submit physical samples and website links. If you are sending physical samples, we need 2 samples per entry. They must be unmounted. If digital images are provided on a CD, DVD or flash drive, you must also include printouts of the images. If your work is selected as a finalist you may be asked to send a sample.

Please make credits and descriptions as complete and accurate as possible. Please also state the nature of the client’s business.
