Designer Profile: Ioanna Philippou, Illustrator, Cyprus

We thought it would be fun to feature work by designers from around the world now and then. This week we visit Cyprus to meet the illustrator Ioanna Philippou. Ioanna’s  vibrant, colorful, and playfully quirky illustrations have garnered her considerable editorial work for publications like Purple magazine and various Greek newspapers. She’s also an accomplished painter and apparel designer.

“The illustration work I do is watercolors with no computer alteration,” she says. “And the more ‘fine art’ painting work I do is in egg-tempera in combination with oils.”

You can see more of Ioanna’s work below or by visiting ioannaphilippou.com.

    Hi Ioanna,

I love the scale of the “new paintings” I see in your grand studio. I would also love to “see” and perhaps “hear more about” what you are doing with “cloth/clothing” as your combinations at UD with cloth and glass were very exciting juxtapositions. I am glad that you are doing well! Sending Warm Regards and Best Wishes,

    Vera
