Do yourself a favor and get the DVD for Terry Pratchett’s Going Postal. It is Downton Abbey without Downton or the Abbey (or any of the cast)—i.e., it’s full of British accents and wonderful art, prop, and set direction. It is “Ingenious, Brilliant and Hilarious”! And it features David Suchet (Poirot) as you’ve never seen him before (below). It is a fantastic tale of love, revenge, and . . . stamps, set against the backdrop of a competition between snail mail and KLACK technology (a communications system something like an e-mail relay from one big tower to the next). I won’t spoil it for you. Rent it, buy it—just, for heavens sake, watch it this holiday season.
