What a finely wrought piece of work, both in word and formal innovation. The ending struck me hard, like a hammer to the back of my skull. Thanks, Debbie, for producing such beautiful art!
I love it. It made me a little sick to my stomach, but (I assume) in all the intended ways.
The conection we make to those amazing friends is enormous. They are here even more briefly than us, but they teach us a lot. I love the contrast in the black page and the last one: brilliant. Really nice. And well, to me, at the end they were never ours, they were a gift and a reminder of have wonderful but short life is.
Gee. That was sad, but so beautifully relayed. I want to literally touch your words…
:(. indeed. animals are human too. our uninvited stray dog passed away two months ago. the gap, she has made is still making us sad. animals are human too! debbie, best as always.
I love this, I think it is wonderful! The manner in which it is layed out is extremly clever. Good job Debbie!
