Beasts Carrying Beauties
Many stories can be boiled down to three characters—the protagonist/hero, the villian/beast, and the object/beauty. Designers illustrate this tension most often using Beasts to carry the Beauties (see the examples below). Neither the "Beauty and the Beast" TV show from 1987, nor the animated movie of the same name in 1991 used the pose, however.

The Beauty and the Beast pose can be subverted, however, in images where the Hero carries Beauty, or when the Beauty carries the Hero, or the Hero carries another Hero, or when the Beauty Carries another Beauty.
