Could Washington, Lincoln or Taft Be Elected Today?

What if George, Abe, Howard or FDR, JFK, LBJ or William Jefferson Clinton ran this year for President of the United States. Would they stand a chance. Its one thing the revere them and another thing to reelect them. Well, the SVA MFA Design Designer as Author and Entrepreneur first year students and curator Kevin O’Callaghan are having a convention and regardless of political affiliation, everyone is welcome to vote for their favorite ex-Presidents.

Building on what is now known about 20 of our 44 presidents, each student has designed a campaign (swag and all) to either rekindle or douse the flames that got them elected in the first place.

Join them on May 7 from 6 – 8 pm, at the SVA Gallery, 209 East 23rd St, New York City, for the convention reception. And see the exhibit today through May 14.
