Kicking off last weekend, the London Design Festival (September 18-26) has a significant graphic design component as well. With more than 200 events to choose from, we’ll be posting one thing you should know about every day from the festival.
Tuesday, September 21: DIY design aficiondos might be interested in Sharp’ner, a talk at the D&AD at 7 pm by Teal Triggs, professor of graphic design at University of the Arts London, on the art of fanzines, the subject of her new book published by Thames & Hudson. In the book, Triggs looks at a variety of these makeshift publications, including one of the first punk fanzines, Sniffin’ Glue (1976).
A full list of events is at the London Design Festival site.
September 22: V&A Maps by Michael Johnson
