This is a deceptively simple little app called “Everyday,” which does one thing: reminds you to take a picture of yourself every day. You set a reminder, open the app, line up your face with the grid (or an overlay of the previous picture), and then let time pass. After a while you see yourself change in the form of a video. If you’re so inclined, you can also post the horror of your physical decline and decay to your Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr or Flickr feeds.
There is, I’m sure, a pretty large inclination to find this insignificant, but I think it’s actually important to know what you look like. I got into the habit of taking pictures of myself every couple of weeks or so to retain a consistent and accurate mental image, and not get lost in the fiction of how I rememebered myself appearing last.
