casual conversation just steps away at PoP Burger, Tayar’s widely popular Bar
and Lounge in the Meat Packing District.
Tayar’s practice is a
unique mix of architecture, engineering, and artistry. His research involves testing the limits of
new materials, CNC technology, and innovative fabrication processes to
investigate the relationship between design and mass production. Here’s your
chance to get a rare, anecdotal peek at the design, manufacturing, and
construction process of a high-end restaurant in New York City.

is open to all young designers five years or less out of school; whether you
are a graphic, industrial, or fashion designer, an artist or architect, Design
