While the future of print may be in jeapordy, there are still numerous
"niche" magazines published, edited and designed by various
iconoclasts. Of these, the most ambitious and stimulating, if only for
(but not exclusive to) its special printing effects, is ESOPUS, named
afater the Esopus River in upstate New York, and filled with a fast
moving current of exciting art and writing. Edited by a former PRINT
editor, Tod Lippy, ESOPUS is the hub of a foundation and performance
