Hey, this must be gallery week. Yesterday Maira Kalman, today. . .
Paula Scher's splendily superb exhibition of obsessively compulsive maps at the Maya Stendhal Gallery.
In this, Scher's second such show in two years, the highlights are her
multicolored and manifestly packed lettergraphic maps of the United
States. But let's not forget her celebration of Paris and Manhattan.
And did I mention that she brings the former sleeping giant China into
vivid perspective.
Its a must to see and its up until January 26 at Maya Stendhal Gallery 545 West 20th Streeet.
