Between November 12 and 26 Nicholas Negroponte's "One Laptop Per Child" initiative is offering a deal that will allow everyone to make a major contribution.
For $399 you can by one XO laptop computer
for yourself ($200 is tax deductible) and another will be sent to a
child in Africa. OR for a $400 donation, two solar powered computers
will be made available to those in need.
There are other perks too, but the beauty of this initiative is that for relatively little, so much direct good will result.
