One of the design highlights of Art Basel (which sadly I didn't get a chance to see first hand because of the throngs) was:
RE-RUN An Installation Inspired by the Vintage Nike Running Collection Commissioned Artworks by young Contemporary Artists Curated by Aaron Rose Graphics by Keith Scharwath Photography by Dan Monick and Jeaneen Lund
RE-RUN, which has travelled around the country for the past six months or so, is an interactive installation set within the context of a modular structure based on alternative architecture from the 1970s. RE-RUN composes over 300 panels featuring iconic Nike Running images juxtaposed with photography, super graphics and a series of specially commissioned artworks created by young, contemporary artists Scott Campbell, Tracy Nakayama, Andrew Jeffrey Wright, Kime Buzzelli, Steven Harrington, Jesse Spears, E-Rock, Mike Pare, Jo Ratcliff and Alexis Ross.
While there are no immediate plans for continued travel, if you're lucky the exhibition will materialize in your town soon.
Most impressive is the overall graphic design by LA designer Keith Scharwath whose work can be seen here.
