I was in Athens, Georgia the other day when I stumbled onto Bob Ross' storied TV art instruction show. While I have seen parodies of his and other on-air-artists, I never watched the real thing, and was I seduced. . .
Bob Ross is the Mr. Roberts (Roberts = Bob) of art. Soothing in his optimism and sedative in his manner.
So consider this a celebration of the master of the lesser high arts.
