When I posted the announcement of the exhibition, Raw Nerve! The Political Art of Steve Brodner, at the Norman Rockwell Musuem I had no idea how brilliant it was. At Saturday night's opening - attended by many of his fans and colleagues - Brodner's genius came to light. The exhibit is a startling contrast to Rockwell's idyllic views, but also fits smartly into the surround of this monument to American illustration.
