When Mirko Ilic and Daniel Young sent their Darfur poster, which equates the slaughter to Nazi genocide in the concentration camps, to a respected Refugee Rights organization, they received the following response:
"I must admit that throughout my work, I am constantly debating (with myself and with colleagues) about the "use" of the Holocaust to advance the rights of the Darfurian refugees. Personally I do not feel comfortable with this."
One has to wonder what, in fact, is the appropriate use of holocaust symbolism.
