A Miniature Obsessive's Maximum Overload

If you have been reading The Daily Heller for a while, you’ll know I am obsessed with miniature things—food, people, furniture, mannequins, and even caged domestic animals (but that’s another story). You can see the various articles and posts here: 1. Just folks 2. Japanese food 3. Miniature Modernist furniture 4. Especially miniature chairs...

Mini Meat

I can’t help myself. Should I go to Mini-Food Weigh-Watchers Anonymous? There is something about miniature food that makes my mouth water. Alan Wolfson creates handmade...

Miniature Delicious Design

I have been working on this ongoing large-miniature project, the design of all things delicious looking (and tasting!) at Mission Minis Bakery in San Francisco. We took what was a tiny and very old—and very small—video rental store and transformed it into a mini bakery of mini cupcakes. Sorry no “before” shots, you know...

More Minis

First there was the Mini Cooper, now the new mini Fiat 500 and here, though not in the same league, is the Scenic Accents mini accessories for scale model trains. I bought a few different sets this weekend, just to have around the house in case I needed them for playtime.  The detailing is...
