Stamp Of Approval For Polish Avant Garde

Polish design historian Dr. Piotr Rypson conceived a project that commemorates the 100th anniversary of the first Polish avant-garde exhibition of Polish Formists-Expressionists. The result? Four postage stamps with illustrative and typographic work represented by Poland's leading progressive artists.

So You Think You Can Dance

Last week, the United States Postal Service, which is under the cloud of possible bankruptcy, issued the Innovative Choreographers stamps series with portraits of Isadora Duncan, Jose Limon, Katherine Dunham, and Bob Fosse. They were illustrated by the great James McMullan, known for his Lincoln Center Theater posters, and art directed/designed by Ethel Kessler.
