Did you know that 2016 marks the 4th century since Will Shakespeare’s death? I call him Will, but it’s William to you. Mirko Ilic has collected and I have written about the bard’s promotional posters from the mid-nineteenth century to the present in Presenting Shakespeare 1,100 Posters From Around The World. It’s published by Princeton Architectural Press with an introduction by the great Julie Taymor.

You’ll be amazed by the number of images (and just scratching the surface at that) and the exceptional range of icons applied to all of Will’s known plays. It’s not in the stores yet, but Amazon is offering a chance to pre-order here.
