The (Hatch) Show (Print) wine by Kristin Myers Harvey.

Here’s a marriage made in heaven: Type and wine. At a dinner party the other night I was surprised and pleased to be presented with a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon called “The Show,” with a label that looked suspiciously familiar. Indeed it was design based on the legendary Hatch Show Print folks in Nashville. Okay, lots of well known designers design wine labels, but this vintage bases its entire identity on the Hatch aesthetic. The wine, produced by Charles Bieler, Joel Gott, and Roger Scommenga known as Three Thieves (Rebel Wine Company), is delightfully fruity, not too inky tasting, bouquet of smooth and soothing grapiness. Drinking, however, won’t make you a better typographer. So don’t drink and compose.
