Wisdom in My Pocket

Lois today.

The best thing about George Lois’s latest book, Damn Good Advice (for people with talent), published by Phaidon Press, is you can keep it in your pocket or pocket book. It is compact, lightweight and user friendly. So every time you are faced with the urge for an infusion of wisdom, it is at your fingertips.

The Lois style, like the title suggests, is void of the usual motivational mumbo-jumbo. Rather it is the collected wisdom (serious, witty, sardonic and right-on-thruthful) from the eminence of the Big Idea. Lois turned 80 this year, yet has not lost any of his indefatigable energy and invaluable insight – and incalculable generosity.

You may not want to accept all his damn good advice, but I challenge you to ignore it. Let’s face it, advice books are a dime-a-dozen, but a dozen of Lois’ pearls are priceless.
