Before Postmodernism, before Mayor Bloomberg, before Mrs. Obama… there were Post Toasties. The ad campaign for Post Toasties in 1914 was health, fitness and good eating. Here is an example of the health cult from days gone by.

The wisdom is so sound— “Its a wise plan not to over eat”—that even granny (at the far right) is happy. Post Toasties were served directly from package to table. What a concept.
