Tom Davie, the proprietor of Studiotwentysix2 in Cincinnati, Ohio, is the latest entrant into the design entrepreneur firmament with his series of “typographic-based goods,” including “Type Notes.” Very handsome indeed and only $13.95 per set.
The studio is a multi-disciplined “design and fine art studio” that integrates painting, printmaking and graphic design. Davie says his mission is “produce well crafted thought-provoking work in a variety of mediums.”
And speaking of thought-provoking I was struck that in the portfolio section of his website is a section called Tombstones. Beautiful as they are, its a pity he did not design them, but I’m grateful he is showing them. Nice work, whoever you were.
