When a repressive regime dies, it leaves behind the graphic artifacts of the state. When the DDR (GDR, aka East German Democratic Republic) tore down its wall, warehouses full of its ephemera were disposed of too. Some can be found in locales like the Wende Museum, and some were sold as souvenirs.
