Friday was a red letter-all caps-day for the Letterform Archive. Founder Rob Saunders wrote to say “I can’t wait to share the news with you. Breathlessly, he announced two big projects: the Online Archive and a membership program. Don’t miss either.
The Archive has been an open collection. The new Online Archive widens to scope and broadens the access to its increasing array of typographic riches. Becoming a charter member provides exclusive access to the beta and can explore over 1,000 catalogued, imaged items, such as work from our major collections, type ephemera and specimens, process material, book jackets, identity manuals and more. Digitization will be an ongoing process, which means you’ll always be able to find something new.
Becoming a member in one of two levels of involvement is a boon to design scholarship and pure typographic pleasure. Join today. Thank me tomorrow.
