
For two weeks this early Summer, the SVA MFA Design Criticism D-Crit studio is open for a two week Design Writing and Research Intensive. Students and working professionals will be provided the chance to study closely with professional writers, editors and bloggers. Any designer or writer, journalist or scholar interested in delving deeper into the meanings of design will find this opportunity is a must.
Various writing genres and a spectrum of imaginative approaches will be explored. Techniques such as interviewing, archive research, close observation, analysis, and critique will be perfected. In addition to an inspiring schedule of seminars, lectures and field trips, each participant will have a workstation in the beautiful light-filled D-Crit studio in New York’s Chelsea district, and 24-hour access to department resources.
