The carny is a uniquely American character: showman, impresario, huckster, and more. Tonight, 23 carnies-in-training will be showing, managing, and huckstering their design wares at the School of Visual Arts MFA Designer As Author’s first Candy Coated Carnival of Controversy, a fun- and thrill-packed socio-political cross-section of shock, awe, and wit galore (curated by Kevin O’Callaghan). Come for the prizes or come for the fun or just come because you don’t really have anything else to do on a lovely spring night from 6 to 8pm. Above and below is a sneak peak of the attractions. SVA is at 209 E. 23rd St. NYC.
