Joost Swarte is the inventor of the term “clear line” and “Atom Style.” Its design varies with pleasure these two major trends in comics, all of which are influenced by his training: design. With its poetic elements and offset, the world of Swarte is recognizable. In addition to thirty jewelry graphics created since the ’70s, the exhibition Traffic (the title is a tribute to the movie by Jacques Tati) presents a series of unpublished works which are all variations on the theme transport. As a preview, here are some pictures of Buster Keaton, Groucho Marx and Jacques Tati.
