What did we do before the Internet made it possible to preserve almost anything? Some of you probably don’t remember when you had to go to a design conference to hear about things like “creativity,” and be creatively inspired. Now, it is as close as your computer screen. TED Talks, Creative Mornings, SVA MFA Design Podcasts, Print‘s Audio Downloads—there are infinite opportunities to see and hear.
The idea began as a way to bring creative inspiration into an art-school classroom. On Creativity asks a specific set of questions to a wide range of people. Each person’s relationship to creativity is unique, and their stories are often insightful. Recent interviews include the Academy Award-nominated animator Bill Plympton, the international graffiti artist KR, the artist Luba Lukova, the graphic designer legends Milton Glaser, Seymour Chwast, and Ivan Chermayeff, and one of the original Mad Men, George Lois.
