Dateline Italia: For this penultimate dispatch from Roma, I can’t say enough about the magnifico gelato from Giolitti. Standing on an Italian line (did they ever hear of taking turns) is worth the effort. The heavenly creamy–even for non-dairy–gelato is the best I’ve had anywhere. Unfortunately, I’ve had it every day, twice a day, since Monday, so I can barely fit into my new Italian stretch pants. If you’re in Roma near the Pantheon, try their melone or pera. Hmmmmm good. And savor the bifurcated tuscan sign.
