Louise Fili’s most recent SVA/NYC subway poster is a bloomin’ herald of spring in the frigid Big Apple. The vintage flower seed packet motif — a perfect symbol for the rebirth or commencement that Spring brings and the evocation of student creativity too — has just begun to fill the underground with light and color from above ground.
This is Fili’s second SVA poster. It’s part of an illustrious collection that over the past seven decades has included work by major faculty members and continues to grow each year.
