Type does many things for many reasons. Selling ideas and products are among the most common. Often price display cards are designed without an iota of sophistication but are functional to a “T.” These were designed for a London men’s store in the 1920s. Printed on the heavy card stock on which vintage photos were once mounted, they were pinned to the the garments they were selling. But most impressive was the dimensional manner in which the price stands out.
